The Organization of African Youth (OAY) implements the Young Urban Women Empowerment
Programme (YUWP), an innovative intervention dedicated to advancing gender equality. As an official commitment maker within the Generation Equality Forum (GEF), OAY has strategically aligned the YUWP with this UN Women-led global initiative to accelerate the realization of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action.

Empowerment: Supporting women and girls to take leadership roles and addressing the specific needs of young urban women including capacity strengthening of feminist and women rights organizations.
