01 Summary

In the run up to 2022 elections, OAY ran myvotekenya campaign aimed at promoting youth participation and consolidating their voices around key issues affecting them, generating evidence on their perceptions, organising debates for candidates, running voter education, observing elections and promoting peace. The key advocacy tool developed included Timiza Ahadi Call to Action and peace pledge. (attach pdf). These
tools informed OAY’s collaboration with IEBC and other Election Management Bodies under 2022 IEBC’S Youth Coordinating Committee where OAY was a member.

  1. myvotekenya engaged over 100,000 youth, 40+ youth organizations, 30+ policy makers, 30 youth election observers and garnered over 500k digital impressions.
